Content Introduction

The book is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter combs and summarizes the evolution history and stage characteristics of the global climate governance system, the system composition and current characteristics of the current global climate governance system, as well as the proposed process of China's "3060" dual carbon target and the introduction of relevant policies. Chapter 2 not only provides a detailed analysis of the physical and transitional risks faced by China's banking sector under the climate change and dual-carbon targets, but also explores the new investment opportunities that climate change can bring. Based on the perspective of international public goods, Chapter 3 briefly summarizes the research points of economic theoretical models on climate change, and evaluates the current situation of climate governance according to its theoretical framework. It points out that introducing and implementing the optimal carbon price is the key to achieving the global climate goal. Chapter four introduces the main types of carbon pricing policies, discusses the reasons for introducing carbon pricing, reveals its mechanism, and summarizes the global development status and challenges of carbon tax and carbon trading. The fifth chapter reveals the strategic opportunities brought by climate change for the sustainable development of commercial banks, which can create new enterprise value. As a socially responsible institution, the Bank not only provides financial support for customers to adapt to climate change, green and low-carbon transition, but also encourages customers to invest in low-carbon technologies, promote high-quality sustainable economic development, and help achieve global climate goals. Chapter 6 reviews the innovation and development of China's banking industry in the basic products and services of carbon finance, carbon asset management and financing. Chapter 7 discusses the current situation of climate and environmental information disclosure and its impact on banking operations. As an important user of corporate customer information disclosure, banks should further encourage, promote and help customers to disclose climate-related information in the future.
