From April 19 to 20, the 2024 China Fintech Research Conference (CFTRC2024) was held at the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The conference was jointly organized by over 30 institutions, with Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University as the host, and co-organized by the Shanghai Financial Engineering Society, Intelligent Investment Technology League (ITL), and Shanghai Data Exchange Research Institute. The annual conference was held offline with online live streaming, consisting of keynote speeches, 16 academic sub-venues, and one industry forum. More than 250 domestic and international economic and financial scholars and related practitioners attended the conference, and the cumulative live-streaming views reached approximately 40,000.
Zhou Mingshan, member of the Party Standing Committee and vice president of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, presented the award for outstanding papers at the conference. Among them, the collaborative paper titled "Data Access Restrictions and AI Innovation: A Quasi-Natural Experiment Based on Apple's Privacy Protection Policy" by Professor Yu Minggui, co-director of the base, and undergraduate Qi Zhipeng from the School of Finance, won the Best Paper Award.
In addition, Professor Lv Yongbin, deputy director of the base, participated in the council of the Fifty-Person Forum on Financial Technology Education and Research and served as a reviewer for the papers. The collaborative paper titled "Bank Financial Technology and Corporate Innovation Quality: Financing Improvement or Investment Governance?" by doctoral students Feng Jue, Wang Yingdong, and Chen Mengjie from the School of Finance was also selected and presented at the conference.
