Abstract: (1) Introduce the current application status of AI agents in social sciences, especially in economics research;
(2) Introduce the installation and configuration of several AI programming agents;
(3) Introduce examples of AI applications in the empirical research process of social sciences;
(4) Precautions for applying AI agents to the empirical research process in social sciences, and so on.
Speaker Introduction：
Wenli Xu, Ph.D. in Economics, is an Assistant Professor at the School of Finance, City University of Macau. His research primarily focuses on China's macroeconomic policy, environmental and climate policy, DSGE, computational economics, DID, AI, and related fields. He has published over 70 articles in leading Chinese and international journals, including Economic Research Journal, China Economic Quarterly, World Economy, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Journal of Regulatory Economics, Journal of Competitiveness, Journal of Innovation & Knowledge, and Public Finance Review. He is the author of the monograph Promoting Green Development. He has led four key research projects funded by the Ministry of Education (Humanities and Social Sciences), the Ministry of Finance, and the Department of Education of Anhui Province. His research has received multiple awards, including the Deng Ziji Outstanding Paper Award in Public Finance, the Second Prize of Anhui Provincial Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award, the Special Prize of Shaanxi Provincial Higher Education Institutions Humanities and Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award, the First Prize of Shaanxi Provincial Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award, and the Tenth Award for Outstanding Research Achievements in Humanities and Social Sciences by the Ministry of Education. His policy advisory reports have received endorsements from national leaders and ministerial officials.
