Abstract:

Against the backdrop of increasingly digitalized, globalized, and deeply interconnected multi-asset financial markets, financial education is gradually evolving from traditional theoretical teaching toward a model driven by data, oriented by research, and integrated with real-world practice. How to enable students to access real market data at an earlier stage, understand the analytical frameworks used by professional institutions, and connect classroom knowledge with actual financial decision-making has become an important issue in financial education at universities worldwide. As a globally leading provider of financial information and data services, Bloomberg has long been deeply involved in building the financial education ecosystem of higher education institutions. It has established partnerships with thousands of universities around the world, providing a unified, professional, and authentic market data platform for teaching and research in finance, economics, business, and related disciplines. This lecture will draw on Bloomberg's development in university education and typical collaboration cases to systematically introduce how the Bloomberg Terminal supports classroom teaching, academic research, and student skill development. Through live demonstrations, it will visually present the core functions of the Bloomberg Terminal in multi-asset data access, macroeconomic and industry analysis, company research, and portfolio analysis, helping faculty and students better understand the practical tools and methods of modern financial research and market analysis. Bloomberg's core data coverage includes: equities, bonds, foreign exchange, commodities, derivatives, and more.
