The first Wuhan-Xi' an Twin City Finance Forum was successfully held

On June 22, 2024, the first  "Wuhan-Xi 'an Twin  Cities Finance Forum" was successfully held in Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. The forum was jointly held by the School of Finance of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and the Innovation and Introduction Base of Digital Technology and Modern Financial Discipline, aiming to respond to the national strategy of strengthening financial power, strengthen financial academic exchanges between Wuhan and Xi 'an, and promote the high-quality development of financial discipline in the central and western regions. Financial scholars from eight universities in Wuhan and Xi 'an gathered by Xiaonan Lake to conduct extensive and in-depth exchanges on the construction of financial disciplines and financial academic research.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Yongbin Lv, deputy dean of the School of Finance of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and deputy director of the Innovation and Introduction Base of Digital  Technology and Modern Finance Discipline, delivered an enthusiastic  speech  on  behalf  of Wuhan  universities.  He expressed warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the leaders, guests  and  scholars participating in the forum, and briefly introduced the development course and discipline construction of the School of Finance of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. He stressed that finance, as a key national discipline and an important support for the construction of "double first-class", shoulders the heavy responsibility of promoting finance  into China's  first-class sequence and building a finance school with international influence. Haiyuan Yin, professor of International Business School of Shaanxi Normal University, delivered the opening speech on behalf of Xi 'an University, emphasizing the importance of strengthening academic exchanges in the construction of financial disciplines between Wuhan and Xi'an. The opening ceremony was presided  over by Professor Dongmin Kong, Deputy Dean of School of Economics, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

In  the   opening  ceremony  of  "Wuhan-Xi 'an  Twin   Cities  Finance  Forum", representatives of Wuhan University Professor Dongmin Kong and Professor Bin Li, representatives of Xi 'an University Professor Hanan Yin and Professor Maoyong Cheng, and invited representatives Professor Jin Shi and Professor Qinghua Song jointly witnessed the wonderful moment of the establishment of "Wuhan-Xi 'an Twin Cities Finance Forum".

The Establishment Ceremony


The keynote speech session of the forum invited two heavyweight  guests, Professor Jin Shi from the School of Finance, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and Professor Fuwei Jiang from the School of Finance, Central University of Finance and Economics, to have in-depth discussions with participants, focusing on cutting-edge issues such as Fintech Lending and Debt Spiral and inflation forecasting under the economic narrative. The keynote speech session was presided over by Professor Qinghua Song, School of Finance, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.

The round table forum invited eight guests from Wuhan-Xi 'an Twin Cities to speak. Haiyuan Yin, International Business School of Shanxi Normal University, Bin Li, School of Economics and Management of Wuhan University, Maoyong Cheng,  School of Economics  and  Management  of Xi 'an  Jiaotong  University, Hu Wenxiu, School of Economics and Management of Xi 'an University of Technology, Dongmin Kong, School of Economics and Management of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Hui Li, School of Economics and Management of Northwest University, Yongbin Lv, School of Finance of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Yuanping Lu, Vice Minister of Scientific Research Department and other guests were  present  He  delivered wonderful views on financial discipline  construction, financial talent training, financial services to society, financial culture inheritance and other aspects. This session was presided over by Professor Jinlin Zhang, School of Finance, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.

In addition, the forum also has four academic sub-forums. In the first sub-forum, Yong Liu, Associate Professor at the School of Economics and Management of Wuhan University, Wei Jing, Assistant Professor at the School of Economics and Finance of Xi 'an Jiaotong University, Naiqian Wu, Lecturer at the School of Economics and Business Administration of Central China Normal University, and Yang Shi, Associate Professor at the School of Economics and Management of Northwest University, respectively made a presentation entitled "Financial Fluctuations, Implicit Guarantees and Spreads of Urban Investment Bonds Issuance" and "Online Social. Connections and Analyst Forecast Accuracy""Does digital transformation help enterprises achieve common prosperity within them? Academic report on "Anomaly Research of "Holding ST Stocks" in Chinese public Funds: Theoretical Explanation and Empirical Test Based on Behavioral  Finance". Professor Dongmin Kong, School of Economics,  Huazhong University of  Science and Technology, and Professor Haiyuan Yin, International Business School, Shanxi Normal University, commented on the above paper. The first session was moderated by Xianming Sun, Associate Professor, School of Finance, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.
