On April 23, 2022, the "Banking and Corporate Finance" Youth Forum in China was held online. Over 200 experts and scholars from several well-known universities and research institutions participated virtually to engage in in-depth discussions on the latest academic achievements in the field of banking and corporate finance.
Professor Minggui Yu, Dean of the School of Finance at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Co-Director of the Innovation and Talent Base for Digital Technology and Finance, presided over the opening ceremony. He congratulated the successful holding of the "Banking and Corporate Finance" Youth Forum in China (Spring 2022) and expressed heartfelt thanks to the guests who have long been concerned about and guided the construction of the finance discipline at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. Professor Yongxiang Wang from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, delivered the keynote speech entitled "The Chinese Collectibles Bubble." He and his collaborators used data manually collected from a large collectibles exchange in China to examine the collectibles bubble in the mid-2010s through various bubble theories.

He pointed out that a total of 42 valid papers were received for this forum, and 8 papers were selected for presentation. Each paper was reviewed by two experts, fully reflecting the forum's original intention and purpose. Especially in the current situation of repeated outbreaks of the pandemic, our gathering in the cloud to explore cutting-edge issues in banking and corporate finance has special significance.
The "Banking and Corporate Finance" Youth Forum in China (Spring 2022) was hosted by the School of Finance at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, with co-sponsorship from the Innovation and Talent Base for Digital Technology and Finance, School of Finance at Nankai University, Financial Big Data Research Center at Wuhan University, International Monetary Institute at Renmin University of China, and Silk Road Finance Research Center at Central University of Finance and Economics. The forum adhered to a "small but exquisite" mode of in-depth discussion, aiming to comprehensively improve the quality of the presented papers. The successful holding of this forum will further promote academic and policy research on banking and corporate finance in China.
