(Student reporter Rui Zhang) On April 20, the 4th Frontier Forum for Digital Technology and Finance of the School of Finance was successfully held online. This lecture was presided over by Professor Ziguan Zhuang of the School of Finance, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. Professor Zhaohua Wang, Dean of the School of Management and Economics, Beijing University of Technology gave a presentation on the theme "Implification and Deduction of China's Electric Energy Substitution Achievement Path under the Goal of Carbon Neutralization". Graduate students from the School of Finance attended the lecture.

Electric energy substitution is an important strategic measure to achieve China's carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals. Based on the analysis of the current situation and existing problems of power substitution in China, the report discussed the driving force, potential accounting, model construction, and typical field practice of power substitution. Then, he put forward possible solutions for the realization of power substitution. The report mainly built a comprehensive evaluation model of "top-down" and "bottom-up" power substitution, which initially realizes the combination of top-down Chinese- characterized policy scenarios and bottom-up power substitution technology scenarios. The report focused on electricity substitution in five key areas, including transportation, construction, steel, etc. At the micro level, the localization of key parameters in transportation, construction, and other fields has been preliminarily realized. At the macro level, under the SSP scenario, the core parameters of power substitution in key areas have been initially realized.

At the end of the lecture, Mr. Ciwei Dong, Mr. Xian Zheng, and Professor Zhaohua Wang discussed issues related to "the cross-use of strategic", "consolidation analysis of key areas", and "carbon emission reduction throughout the life cycle of the field". Professor Ziguan Zhuang summarized the content of the lecture and expressed his gratitude to the speaker. The 4th Frontier Forum for Digital Technology Finance was successfully concluded.
