Abstract:
According to the data from Cyberspace Administration of China, the formation time of China blockchian industry agglomeration coincided with the release time of related policies that support the development of blockchian industry. To detect the relationship between regional blockchain industry agglomeration and the policy tools used when different regions release blockchain related policies, we conduct text analysis on regional blockchian industry indicators and blockchain-related policies using K-means clustering method. The results show that in provinces which have higher blockchain industry agglomeration, regions with better economy and technology pay more attention to innovative R&D support in environment-side policy tools, while less developed regions pay more attention to supply-side and demand-side policy tools. Besides, provinces with lower blockchain industry agglomeration mainly focus on strategic measure or target planning in environment-side policy tools.
Speaker Introduction:
Xiaotuo Qiao, Ph.D. in Finance, joint Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Dallas. During her Ph.D. study, she participated in a number of National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Programs and National Key R&D Programs. After graduating with a doctorate in 2021, she entered Zhongnan University of Economics and Law as a lecturer in the School of Finance.
