On July 1, the National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences (NOPSS) officially released the "List of Approved Major Special Projects of the National Social Science Fund for Research and Interpretation of the Spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee," with a total of 141 projects approved for funding. The project titled "Theoretical and Policy Research on Improving the Functions of the Capital Market to Balance Investment and Financing," led by Professor Zhisheng Li, Director of the Innovation and Talent Base for Digital Technology and Finance, as the chief expert, was successfully approved.


Chief Expert Introduction
Zhisheng Li is a Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. He is also a Professor at the School of Finance and a Doctoral Supervisor at the same university, as well as Director of the Innovation and Talent Base for Digital Technology and Finance. His research primarily focuses on financial innovation, financial risk management, market microstructure, and regional financial development. He has led multiple research projects, including those under the Discipline Innovation and Talent Introduction Program for Higher Education Institutions (the “111 Plan”), the Major Project of the National Social Science Fund, and both the Young Scientist Fund and the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His research has been published in journals such as Economic Research Journal, Journal of Management Science, China Economic Quarterly, China Industrial Economics, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Journal of Financial Markets.
