On the morning of April 20th, the 13th Financial Research Forum was successfully held during the 2023 Understanding China International Conference (Guangzhou). The conference was sponsored by China Financial Forum, China Society of Finance and Economics, School of Economics and Management, Sun Yat-Sen University; organized by Institute of Finance and Banking, People's Bank of China, Guangdong Society of Finance and Lingnan College, Sun Yat-Sen University; co-organized by Financial Research Center, China National Society for Innovation and Development Strategy, Editorial Department of Finance Quarterly and Editorial Department of Southern Finance. A number of economic and financial leaders, experts and scholars attended the forum to discuss how the path of financial development with Chinese characteristics will strive to serve the high-quality development of the real economy and help achieve the goal of socialist modernization by 2035.
Jianhao Lin, Vice president of Lingnan College of Sun Yat-sen University, commented on the winning papers. Zhou Chengjun, director of the Institute of Finance and Banking of the People's Bank of China announced the winners and presented the awards.
Professor Zhisheng Li, Director of the Base, and Dr. Ling Jin, Researcher of the Base, co-authored the paper "Does bank Competition Improve the investment level and resource allocation Efficiency of enterprises? -- A Study Based on the Spatial Distribution of Branches, and the paper "Targeted RRR Cut, Loan Availability and Business Credit of Small and micro Enterprises -- Empirical Evidence Based on Breakpoint Regression" by Professor Dongmin Kong, researcher of the base, and his collaborators were awarded "Excellent Papers of 2021" by Finance Research. Mr. Ling Jin and Mr. Haiyang Li (Doctor of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, teacher of Hainan University) attended the ceremony.
